That best portion of a good man's life, His little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and of love. William Wordsworth English poet (1770 - 1850)***
I was working on this when the mail woman drove by.
I stopped and took Sadie out for a quick game of Frisbee and then I went to the mailbox.
Inside was treasure.
A sweet someone by the name of Elizabeth, who has been supporting me over at Etsy, sent me a wonderful handmade box of joy. She covered the box with decoupage and some pics from my banner ( I am so flattered!) and a gorgeous red plaid fabric.
As I opened it, my heart faster than a freight train, I was almost dying from curiosity and over-come with happiness, I noticed something sparkle. Immediately I sighed a big swoonie sigh! I carefully lifted the coolest soldered glass "Calamity Kim's World Patchwork". One side says Calamity Kim with a background of fabrics and the other side has pictures from my life.
I am amazed. I am so surprised! I am speechless! No, not really. I am not sure anything can stop my motor mouth once I get gassed up on Java and cupcakes!
I need to go thank Elizabeth properly with an email before I go admire my lovely present again. I am so flattered and feel humbled by her kindness. Did I mention the groovy vintage tablecloth inside too?
So many people do nice things everyday for me that I feel overwhelmed.
I think it is Never forgotten when you are kind.
I am not sure what William Wordsworth meant- my Dad goes to visit the "old folks home" as he likes to call it, every week, to spend time with some of the other Lodge Brothers and I think that speaks volumes to his character.
He gives his time.
He cares.
He listens.
I admire that.
Even though he probably talks more to them than he does me. But, I wander...the point is:
I admire all of you sweet Blog Cyber YaYa's who have been so kind and supportive of my little Calamity Craft Adventure. So thank you. You know who you are.
