On the Fifth Day of Christmas

My True Love Gave to Me:

Five Unicorns with Wings!

This one is super easy and fast too!

Materials:

wool felt in cream or tie dyed, blue for background

vintage sheet music

red and white tiny polka dot fabric for wings

embroidery or perle cotton floss

freezer paper

6" ribbon

Directions:

Begin by printing out Download Fifth_day_unicorn_pattern

I traced my pattern onto freezer paper and then after cutting it out, I ironed it to the felt to make it easier to cut out from the felt.

Then I machine stitched the unicorn to the blue background (slide upper wing under body before sewing).

Using perle cotton, embroider some daisies with contrasting centers around neck of unicorn. Add second wing.

Fold ribbon in half and place in center top between blue felt and sheet music. Machine stitch or glue blue felt to sheet music.

I edge the sheet music with some chalk (in burnt sienna) to give it an aged look.
