I was tickled to be invited to join in Lisa and Terisa's Project Blogway Challenge and I want to invite all of you to participate as well.
Lisa has a delightful Blog called A Whimsical Bohemian and please use the link to read all about the challenge and then visit Terisa at Sabii Wabii Running With Scissors Blog
Here is the Project Blogway Button to use if you post about the challenge.
This challenge is for a full size garment made of paper! It can be any kind of paper- no fabric!!! It can be sewn, glued, stapled, as long as it doesn't include any fabric! Any thing can be your dress dummy/model also- well- just go read the challenge instructions over at Lisa's Blog.
I am thinking about what to create and will try to finally make time to do the tutorial on the paper mache dress form I made a while back. It will make a great display for whatever I create.
I love paper and work with it as much as I do fabric. I do think it's messier and not as comforting as fabric work but I still enjoy it.
It's the visual stimulation I suppose.
With fabric and especially quilting- I love the texture- I used to run my hands over the ridges in the baskets I would weave and really enjoyed that. Now I get the same pleasure from the quilted designs and patterns flowing underneath my fingers.
So, if you have some time, get started and be ready to share your Project Blogway designs on Sept 17th. Lisa will hostess the challenge and link to all of our blogs so we can go around and view everyone's submissions.
This is a fun challenge and no one will get voted out so look around the house for some paper and get busy!!!!
