I was visiting Anna Maria this morning on her Blog and was delighted to listen to her on Lori's of Sew Forth Now Podcast and learn more about her experience in sewing and fabric designing.
It was really neat to have a voice to go with her image- even though she sounded very grown-up and not as little girl voice as I had imagined.
You know how you see a picture and then think that they must sound like they look? She looks like she is barely 21, so, naturally I had assumed she would sound like that with a little small voice. Not True! She sounds smart and creative and energetic and mature and confident. Thoughtful, kind and loving fit in their also. My favorite line was: " My favorite project is the one I am about to start". That is so true for me as well.
I get obsessed with designing, drafting and putting the pieces together and don't sleep well until I have started it and gotten some of the urgency to fade.
If the idea is working I can set everything else aside until it's done.
If it isn't working or I hit a snag I have to set it aside until the EUREKA! moment when I get it!
The wrinkles get ironed out and I am back at the machine- doing what I love to do!
Go listen to Anna on Podcast and see if you recognize a little bit of yourself in her words.
