Calamity Chickens * Make & Do*

Download microsoft_word_howdy.pdf

Before you click on the PDF above you can few the slideshow at Flickr which shows all the chickens I created using the simple pattern I drew. The fabric choices really make a big difference- cotton are going to be smaller while wool felt will stretch as you stuff it and become much larger. The pattern has a 1/4" stitching seam allowance added.
I recommend making them with your fabric scraps and have a basket full at all times to give as spur of the moment gifts  to yer peeps!
Put one in the mail box to make your postal worker less postal.
Take one to the grocery store for the check out girl and bag boy- I am making one with an eye patch for my favorite Publix bag boy who actually has an eyepatch...I always call him a pirate!  Thank goodness he has a wonderful sense of humor!
They are sure to make even the grumpiest foul mood disappear when hidden in the medicine cabinet with a tiny sign made from toothpick and post it note saying help me or I surrender!!
