Sometimes the simplest things can be so ingenious.
Using trash bags and tape to create creatures who come alive with subway breezes, Joshua Allen Harris gives birth to amazing street art that makes me smile.
Also from New York Magazine is this collection of clothing fashioned from paper by Greg Lauren. Another example of an artist using simple materials to create something that mimics reality.
Today I am inspired.
Happy Friday!

Besides that there is a cold front coming through and its pouring rain and that would not be fun. Not that an 8 hour drive is fun- unless the skies are blue, traffic is light and there are cows along the highway.

I gave my technique pages to the lovely and kind Cheryl yesterday to bring to the meeting for me.
I hope I can make the March Altered Clothing Fashion Show.
I will try to Blog as much as I can and please stop by here and leave me a message or over at Flickr or with my email: calamitykimdolls@yahoo.com

I felt like I had accomplished something when I weeded through and cleaned out my 2, 198 emails stuffed in my netzero box- I have addresses for Smoochie Lips, Infinity Monkeys, Scarlett and a bunch of you other peeps-
I need Jude's address- I thought for sure I had that one- seems like I have gotten it a few times...its like a cupcake- it just disappears when you aren't looking!

Is there anyone you know that you would like to bombard with fruit? Sometimes I think it might be fun to hurl some apples and tomatoes and broccoli maybe, at a few people. I dunno. Might be funny.... Just drifting through You Tube and Flickr for a moment before I go ride my bike to the library...
Here's something else to look forward to in December! The O Z indeed! Richard Dreyfus as the Great and powerful Oz... It's called Tin Man and will be on the SciFi channel. It appears to be a mini series. Oh, what a wonderful world! Maybe I can buy the fabric in the next post and make an outfit to wear and a quilt to wrap up in while we watch! I want to thank Betty for giving me the heads up on the new series...I am delightfully intrigued!
This is the trailer for the New Sweeney Todd movie directed by Tim Burton with Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter. Don't watch it if the sight of blood bothers you....I am too busy today to be Bloggin so this is a quick one to say hi and share another site that Amanda shared with me: Pushin Daisies.com I just ordered the skull cupcake pan, skeleton beads, skeleton jello mold and can hardly wait!I didn't order the skelly flamingo lawn ornaments...but aren't they cleaver, I mean, clever?

Gotta go- my lovely sewing sanctuary is calling...and somebody needs a bath...can you smell Sadie from here? hahaha! No, really, she missed her bath last week and loves them so much- plus its like 90 degrees outside! I really wish we'd get a cold front! anyway- happy Tuesday!!!
Hey Blog Peeps! I was so inspired by Pushing Daisies on Wed that I bought a bunch of Granny Smith's and I'm making a mile high apple pie!!!!!I wove the top and put some grated Gruyere on top! YUM!!! Painted all day and the room is coming along nicely! I am going to get pictures tomorrow...really...I am !
Thank you Miss Amanda for sharing this with me....I love it so! Reminds me of The Great Mr Burton's work! I should have been a claymation artist! What fun! I love the band....
Or maybe you would prefer this? It reminds me of Tord Boonjte 's work....
Every Sunday night we wait for this new show- Flight of the Conchords... I think these guys are so funny! Last night the show had a David Bowie bit, and after checking You Tube, I found this from their act. It's on at 10:30 on HBO if you think this is funny then watch their show...if not then forgive me...I really think they are very funny...
This is a future post: for tomorrow morning, so that I can start working right after coffee with Amanda! I have a list. A big list and 2 things that I need to finish before the Softie Awards are closed to entries....so here's some Dave....and some Blue men....you've probably seen it before, but just bear with me (*teehee*) and turn off the radio first or you'll want to gouge your ears out with that pen on your desk! ........
The sun is out! The birds are singing! The amaryllis is up and about to bloom! The squirrels are running around and the fur is a flying!
I have been Making and Doing and whistling while I work! I was so excited when I sold my art apron yesterday! It was listed in Etsy and then gone in a flash! Thank you Rosanna! I am delighted that she found my work after I just admired pictures of her fabulous sweet collection over at Jenny's- Where Everyday Is A Holiday! You better run over and have a look...and sign up for Jenny's Vintage Kitchen Swap she has open also! It is sure to be amazing if hosted by Jenny!
