That's a Mean Cup of Coffee
Woke up so early today.
Must have been 6 am.
Still dark outside.
Why? What? ...Fred said.
Fred said rise and shine! Those aprons don't make themselves!
I mumbled and opened one eye to see his cheerful, happy, good-morning, obnoxious-please-go-away-and-leave-me-alone-self standing there with a cup of coffee for me in his hand and a kiss on his lips.
ugh.
Never have I been a Morning Person.
Never.
Grump. Grump. Grump!!!
I come alive at 3 in the afternoon!!
Except if I get up at the crack of dawn's ass, then I am looking for a nap at 3!
So, I took my coffee and with shaking fingers, logged on and started catching up with some of my favorite and neglected Blogs.
I have been so busy, with everything but that lately.
I miss it.
It seems ironic to me that when I started this Blog I wanted to be like my hero Bloggers and have free patterns and scintillating dialogs concerning crafting and thrifting and nurturing and post brilliant pictures of delicious recipes and possibly write a book and be in magazines and have doors open for me that prior to blogging seemed as difficult to enter as the opening credits to Get Smart used to seem.
So, here I sit without any pictures. (the one with the broom is from last year. I made that apron for my friend Amanda, who has a kitchen full of gnome love.) I went and took some and added them- I couldn't stand it!
No recipes (diet)
Nothing I can share because it is for publication and I can't breath a word.
All my dreams might just come true, but with a price.
There is always a price.
So, getting up early is one of them and I gladly, grumpily pay it to have more time to read my blogs and go make stuff!
It was a delightful weekend- it was even cold- 48 one day! I rode my bike and got out of the house and felt invigorated in the cool breeze!
I finally was able to get out of the bathroom, with a little help from my new best friend.
That's sinking pretty low- linking to a diarrhea medicine!
Where are the gnomes?
Where are the fairies and sweet stories to carry you off to another enchanted place full of rainbows and unicorns? Perhaps they are here or here...
I have conflicting emotions about Blogging now- I used to complain and cry about my family drama, until it hurt someones feelings.
So I stopped "getting personal".
Then, I used to post pictures of my work as I created it and that got me an offer I couldn't refuse and I haven't been the same since!
Not that I am complaining. It is certain that the only thing that stays the same is change- everything is always changing. Just when you get used to it the way it is...here comes that flighty fellow, Mr Change.
Just shaking it up.
So, as I wonder what direction the wind is gonna blow next, I consider going back to bed, discarding that idea, maybe another cup of joe...

Where ever you go, you're faithful followers will be here. I'm inspired by you everyday. I wish I had as much talent and creativity in my body as you do in your one little pinky finger. You are an awesome crafter and one that never fails to amaze me with your skills.

Ah, little Grasshopper, so now you will have to learn to say, "NO" -- so long as it's not to ME!

Kim- I love reading your blog no matter what. Your thoughts are always interesting and fun-- or disturbing with stories of orphans. I'm not a morning person either, unless I have to be, which is often.
Have a happy day sweetie!

Joan- is that why nobody comments on the orphan stories? Are they disturbing? Those orphans need love too!
